Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom
This year, we celebrated Halloween in true Disney style at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. It was an enchanting evening filled with costumed characters, festive treats, and hauntingly fun entertainment.
Arriving in Costume
One of the best parts about this special event was dressing up! From princesses to villains, guests of all ages arrived in full costume, adding to the festive atmosphere. The park had transformed into a Halloween wonderland, with decorations, pumpkin displays, and spooky lights everywhere we looked.
Trick-or-Treating Disney Style
Throughout the night, we hit up several candy stations scattered across the park. Disney doesn’t skimp on the treats; there were generous handfuls of chocolate, gummies, and even allergy-friendly options. We loved that the trick-or-treat bags were both fun souvenirs and practical keepsakes for the night.
Exclusive Halloween Shows and Parades
One of the highlights was Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade. The parade featured all our favorite Disney characters in Halloween costumes, along with a special appearance from the Hitchhiking Ghosts and the Grave Diggers from Haunted Mansion. Each float brought new surprises and spooky fun, and the music added an extra dash of Halloween spirit.
The Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular was another must-see. Hosted by the Sanderson Sisters, this stage show brought a bit of wicked fun to the night, with appearances from classic Disney villains like Maleficent, Dr. Facilier, and Oogie Boogie. The Sisters’ performance was spot-on and filled with humor, making it a hit for both kids and adults.
Halloween-Themed Rides and Attractions
Some of the park’s classic rides had Halloween makeovers for the night, too. Space Mountain was an unforgettable experience in total darkness with eerie sound effects, and Pirates of the Caribbean had live actors interacting with guests, adding a fun twist to the ride’s storyline.
A Sweet Finale with Fireworks
To cap off the evening, we gathered for Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show. This jaw-dropping display, hosted by Jack Skellington himself, featured projections on Cinderella Castle, creating a magical and ghostly backdrop. The fireworks were perfectly timed to Halloween music, making it a spooky yet magical end to the night.
Final Thoughts
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party truly brought the Halloween spirit to life. From the parades and shows to the rides and trick-or-treating, every element of the evening was crafted to be immersive and family-friendly. This night was everything we could have wanted in a Halloween celebration, with just the right amount of spookiness and a whole lot of Disney magic.
If you’re looking for a Halloween event that’s fun for all ages, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a must-do!
